THE daytime temperature in
entire State including Jabalpur
started to drop again from
Saturday. Several cities have been
experiencing a decline of up to
2 degrees Celsius in temperature. The Weather Department
has also predicted a further dip
of 2 to 3 degrees in night-time
temperatures. While some cities
experienced cloudy weather on
Saturday, most areas had clear
skies.
On Saturday scattered clouds
hovered over the city for a short
duration. Likewise, winds also
swept the city with moderate
speed in the afternoon. The conditions led to slight drop in temperature.
Spokesman of weather department informed that the current
weather pattern is expected to
persist through the end of
February. A cyclonic circulation
system is currently present over
southern Pakistan and Rajasthan,
while a Western Disturbance is
active over northern India. This
has led to changes in the weather conditions across Madhya
Pradesh. The decline in daytime
temperatures started since
Friday.
On Saturday, fluctuations in
temperatures were recorded
across the state including
Jabalpur. In many cities, the daytime temperature remained
below 30 degrees Celsius. Cities
like Jabalpur, Bhopal, Indore,
Ujjain, Dhar, Guna,
Narmadapuram, Khandwa,
Khargone, Raisen, Ratlam,
Khajuraho, Narsinghpur and
Umaria all experienced a drop
in temperature. The Weather
Department has forecasted that
another Western Disturbance will
become active in northwest India
on February 24, which could further impact the weather in the
state.
Spokesman of weather department informed that February
typically sees multiple Western
Disturbances, leading to fluctuating temperatures. Similar conditions are being observed this
year as well.
However, there are no chances
of rainfall at the moment. Over
the next couple of days,
both daytime and night-time
temperatures are expected to
decline further.
