The oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected Mayor of Raipur Municipal Corporation Meenal Choubey, along with 70 ward councilors, is scheduled to be held on Thursday, February at 3 pm in the Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium. Administrative preparations for the ceremony are nearing completion. The event will feature Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai as the Chief Guest, with Speaker of Legislative Assembly Raman Singh as the Program Chairman. Other dignitaries attending include Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Ministers Kedar Kashyap, Ramvichar Netam, and OP Choudhary, Raipur Lok Sabha MP Brijmohan Agrawal, and Jagdalpur MLA and State President Kiran Singh Deo.

 

Also present will be Raipur West MLA Rajesh Munat, Raipur South MLA Sunil Soni, Raipur North MLA Purandar Mishra, Raipur Rural MLA Motilal Sahu, Dharsiwa MLA Anuj Sharma, Arang MLA and Vice President of the Scheduled Caste Authority Guru Khuswant Saheb, and Abhanpur MLA Indrakumar Sahu. Earlier on Wednesday, Raipur West MLA Rajesh Munat and Raipur North MLA Purandar Mishra visited the Indoor Stadium to inspect the preparations for the ceremony. They were accompanied by newly elected Mayor Meenal Choubey, Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra, newly elected councilor of Raman Mandir Ward No. 14 Suryakant Rathore, former Chairman Prafull Vishwakarma, Raipur City District BJP President and former councilor Ramesh Singh Thakur, Additional Commissioner US Agarwal, Vinod Pandey, Zone 4 Zone Commissioner Arun Dhruv, Executive Engineer Shekhar Singh, Junior Engineer Anshul Sharma, and other municipal corporation officials. During the inspection, the officials provided necessary instructions to ensure the smooth conduct of the oath-taking ceremony.
