A high level delegation of senior Government officers on Sunday visited Butibori industrial area to explore and showcase the eco system of the Asia’s largest industrial area for potential investment opportunities to US Counsel.
Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra Sujata Saunik; Counsel General of US to Mumbai Mike Hankey; Nagpur District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar; Superintendent of Police Nagpur Rural Harssh Poddar and Joint CEO MIDC Dr Vijay Rathod along with other officers visited the area.
On the occasion, office-bearers of Butibori Manufacturers Association (BMA) met the visitors and highlighted various benefits of working in Vidarbha region specifically in the Butibori MIDC area.
Sujata Saunik spoke about growing opportunities in Vidarbha underlining the recent industrial development in Gadchiroli.
Representatives of various units like Rajesh Jain, Plant Head of JSW Steel; Param Sancheti, ED SMS Ltd; Devendra Patodi, Plant Head of CEAT Butibori; and Udayan Gutgutiya, Director Team Ferro Alloys; Pradeep Khandelwal of Vineengineer, Prasanna Mohile of Pernod Ricard; Amol Bhople of KEC International also expressed their views on the benefits of running units in Butibori.
Remembering his visit to Nagpur 30 years back, Mike Hankey said he was marvelled at the amazing economic development happening in the city. He was positive about mutual cooperation between Indian and US companies in various sectors like semiconductors, metals, mineral, etc. The programme also included felicitation of BMA Patron Pradeep Khandelwal at the hands of Chief Secretary of Maharashtra Sujata Saunik.
The program was organised at BMA Auditorium under the leadership of Dr Kishore Malviya and Shashin Agrawal.
