A Police Inspector attached to Anti-Naxal Operations (ANO) created ruckus at Mayo Hospital while undergoing treatment and allegedly abused a doctor and also assaulted two police officers. Tehsil Police have registered a case against the Police Inspector Rajesh Gyanoba Khandwe (32), a resident of Police Camp, Waddhamna, under various sections of BNS. According to police, the incident took place on the night of January 31 after Khandwe went to Grand Bar. A dispute arose with four persons, during which he was reportedly struck on the head with a water jug.

 

Wadi Police team including beat marshal Pankaj Jagdish Madavi (41) and Ganesh responded to the situation and took Khandwe to Mayo Hospital for treatment. While the doctor began treatment, Khandwe allegedly became abusive and kicked Madavi and also assaulted Ganesh. The MSF personnel were called in, but Khandwe allegedly abused them as well before fleeing the hospital. Madavi and Ganesh then went to the Wadi Police Station, where Madavi filed a complaint against Khandwe for the alleged abuse and assault. Madavi also filed a complaint with the Tehsil police which led to the registration of the case against Khandwe. According to a senior police officer, Khandwe also filed a complaint against Madavi and accused him for hurling abuses and assault.
