The event, held on the occasion of World Cancer Day, featured insightful speeches, felicitation ceremonies, patient screenings and interactive sessions with health experts and community members.
Leading oncologists including Medical Oncologist Dr Ravi Jaiswal, Surgical Oncologist Dr Saurabh Jain, Gynecologist Dr Chetna Ramani and Dr Subuhi Naqvi along with dedicated healthcare professionals and nursing staff stressed the significance of early detection and maintaining a healthy lifestyle to reduce cancer risks.
The event commenced with a walkathon at Marine Drive, where doctors, community members, NGO representatives and cancer survivors walked together carrying banners and placards, reinforcing the importance of routine health check-ups and cancer screening. Over 200 individuals benefited from free cancer screening services, where patients were examined for common types of cancer, including breast, cervical, and oral cancer, by a team of highly skilled doctors and technicians.
The event concluded with a message of hope, resilience and the need for collective efforts to combat cancer through awareness, early intervention and medical advancements.
