In a significant address at the IPS Meet, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav praised the Madhya Pradesh Police for their unwavering commitment and service. Speaking at the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium, CM Yadav emphasised that police service is a lifelong commitment, constantly facing challenges. He expressed his satisfaction that the state police is successfully overcoming obstacles and setting new benchmarks of achievement. He appreciated the police force’s 24-hour dedication to ensuring the security of the state and society. The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of internal unity within the police force and stressed that meetings like the IPS service meet play a crucial role in fostering co-operation, sharing experiences, and implementing effective solutions. He encouraged the police officials to regularly assess the performance of police stations across districts and regions, rewarding exemplary officers and staff to enhance the reputation of both the police and the state.
 
CM Yadav also spoke about the growing trust that the public is placing in the police and the crucial role the force plays in maintaining law and order. He urged the police to maintain this trust and further strengthen their service through training, dialogue, and skill enhancement. He stressed that the IPS Meet should not just be a gathering, but a workshop to improve skills and approach towards public service. The Chief Minister remarked that when all options are exhausted, the police become the final hope for citizens, and it is essential to uphold this trust. He also recommended initiating a tradition of recognising and rewarding good work at the police stations to boost morale. Further, CM Yadav pointed out that the government is actively working on modernising the police force and equipping them with the latest technology and resources.
 
The Chief Minister congratulated the Bamhori Kala Police Station in Tikamgarh, which was recognised by the Ministry of Home Affairs as one of the best in the country. He honoured Police Superintendent of Tikamgarh and Station Incharge Rashmi Jain for their exceptional work. In his address, Director General of Police (DGP) Kailash Makwana assured the public of the police’s constant readiness to ensure their safety. He discussed the successful implementation of new criminal laws and acknowledged the praise received from the Union Home Minister and Secretary for the police’s efforts. He highlighted the police’s significant role in eliminating the dacoit problem in the state and combating Naxalism. DGP Makwana also noted the growing challenges posed by cybercrime, narcotics, and traffic safety. He mentioned that the police have been running extensive awareness campaigns on cyber safety, reaching over 10 lakh students and citizens.
 
The campaign has received widespread acclaim for its effectiveness in educating the public on protecting themselves from cyber fraud. Ravi Kumar Gupta, the President of the IPS Association, expressed his gratitude towards Chief Minister Dr Yadav for his support and encouragement. He reiterated the commitment of the police to the safety of every citizen in the state. The Chief Minister was honoured with a token of appreciation, and he concluded the event by taking a group photograph with the senior IPS officers, boosting their morale and expressing his support.
