and surrounding regions will have partly cloudy sky on Sunday, with a high of 26°C and a low of 11°C. Winds will blow at a mean velocity of 10-12 kmph, contributing to the cold in the atmosphere. Cold continues with a high of 23.2°C in Bhopal yesterday, 4.4°C below normal, and a low of 9.4°C, 2.8°C below normal. There was 58% humidity in the morning, and no rain in the past 24 hours.
Throughout the State, cold has continued to grip a number of districts. Lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Kalyanpur (Shahdol) at 4.5°C and the highest maximum temperature at 30.0°C in Khargone.
Cold wave conditions have been experienced in Rajgarh and Shahdol, and cold day in Raisen and Shajapur. Maximum temperatures have been appreciably below normal in Bhopal and Indore divisions, and moderately below normal in Narmadapuram, Ujjain, Rewa, Jabalpur, and Shahdol divisions. Minimum temperature in Bhopal at 9.4°C was amongst the lowest city minimum temperatures.
According to IMD, The overall weather prediction is such that no significant variation can occur in the next 24 hours, but a slow temperature rise of 2-4°C can follow afterwards.

creating strong 250 kmph winds over Northeast India. Cold day warnings have been sounded for Raisen, Rajgarh, and Shajapur, and citizens have been alerted to exercise caution. Cold can produce prolonged hypothermia, frost, and respiratory disease, and citizens have been advised to wear warm clothes, several layers, and curtail outdoor activity. Citizens with symptoms of shivering, numbness, difficulty in speaking, and stiffness must report to a doctor at once. According to IMD, motorists are advised to drive cautiously in view of fog, which reduces visibility. Fog lights and safe distance driving is preferable. Farmers must also make arrangements for cattle and crops. Pod borer attack can occur in flowering stage of gram, and therefore, constant checking is a must. There must be proper irrigation, with third at ear head initiation stage (50-55 DAS) and fourth at flowering stage (65-70 DAS). Mulch and burn dry hay near field will preserve soil temperature.
