Dr Ashok Kumar Panda recommended as Director (Finance) of SAIL by PESB

Selection Board (PESB) on Saturday recommended Dr. Ashok Kumar Panda for the post of Director (Finance) at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). Dr. Panda is currently serving as Executive Director, Finance & Accounts at SAIL. His appointment is subject to requisite clearances and ratification by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). If approved, he will succeed Anil Kumar Tulsiani, who is set to retire on March 31, 2025. Several candidates were interviewed for the position, including Praveen Nigam (ED, F&A, SAIL), Abhay Kumar Behuria (ED, F&A, SAIL), Arup Mukherjee (ED, F&A, IISCO), Mohit Malpani (ED, F&A, DSP & BSP, SAIL), Ragini Advani (Director, Finance, Ircon International Ltd.), Shyam Awasthi (Director, Finance, HSCL), Rajesh Kumar Agarwal (CGM, Power Finance Corporation), Surinder Pal Singh Chawla (CGM, Finance, Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd.), and Naicker Mahadevan Madhan (GM, Finance, IOC Ltd.). Following the interview process, the PESB recommended Dr. Panda for the key financial role at SAIL
