The Mahakumbh in Prayagraj witnessed an extraordinary contribution from Chhattisgarh, thanks to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s visionary leadership. Understanding the spiritual aspirations of his people, CM Sai ensured a dedicated 4.5-acre Chhattisgarh Pavilion in Sector 6 of the Kumbh Mela, offering free lodging and meals to over 50,000 devotees. For 45 days, the pavilion served as a home for pilgrims, enabling them to participate in the world’s largest spiritual congregation without worry.

The initiative, made possible through collaboration with Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, left an indelible mark on the Mahakumbh. Beyond accommodation, the pavilion became a major attraction, showcasing the state’s rich heritage. The entrance, adorned with Bastar’s ‘Gaur Mukut,’ and the statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari welcomed visitors with cultural pride. Exhibitions highlighted historical sites like Sirpur, Jaitkham, Chitrakote Waterfall, and Naya Raipur, drawing thousands daily. Unlike other pavilions, it remained vibrant until 10 PM, featuring folk performances that captivated audiences nationwide. Advanced technology, including a 360-degree immersive dome and VR experiences, brought Chhattisgarh’s beauty to life. Reflecting the Mahakumbh’s spirit of unity, the pavilion welcomed all, serving free meals regardless of caste, creed, or nationality.

International visitors lauded Chhattisgarh’s hospitality, further strengthening its cultural significance. Post-event, CM Vishnu Deo Sai personally thanked CM Yogi Adityanath for facilitating Chhattisgarh’s participation. The initiative not only connected 50,000 devotees to the Kumbh’s sacred rituals but also positioned Chhattisgarh on the national and global spiritual map. As Mahakumbh 2025 concluded, Chhattisgarh’s legacy stood firm—rooted in faith, tradition, and inclusivity. This transformative experience will inspire generations, reinforcing the state’s deep spiritual and cultural heritage.
