St Thomas College Bhilai organised a farewell ceremony with great pride and joy for final year students of the academic year 2024-25. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp. Administrator Rev. Fr. Dr PS Varghese, Principal Dr M G Roymon, Vice Principal Dr James Mathew and Dean Academics Dr Debjani Mukherjee, Faculty Members and students were present.
Dr James Mathew, convener, delivered the welcome speech and extended a very warm welcome to the august gathering. Principal of College Dr M G Roymon offered sincere gratitude to all the students for being part of the prestigious institute.
Administrator of the College Rev. Father Dr PS Varghese blessed the students on the occasion and expressed his deepest gratitude to each one for being the integral part of the institute. The administrator elaborated on Courses available in the College at PG level and state-of-the-art facilities providing access to cutting-edge career development for the students.
Words of wisdom were shared by Dr. Debjani Mukherjee, (Dean Academics and Head, PG Dept of Psychology) and Dr Jaysree Balasubramanium (Head, PG Dept of Zoology). Students from Arts, Science, Commerce, and Computer Science reflected on their college experiences, thoughts, and memories. To commemorate the significant milestone, a token of remembrance was given to all the graduating students. Dr Sapna Sharma (Head, PG Dept. of Commerce) proposed vote of thanks. Dr Sujata Koley (Assistant Professor, PG Dept
of English) conducted the programme.
