SCZCC’s Stree Mahotsav concludes on a high note

The three-day ‘Stree Mahotsav’ hosted by South Central Zone Cultural Centre under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India from March 8 to mark International Women’s Day concluded on a high note. Dr Maheshchandra Shandilya, former Research and Publication Officer, Madhya Pradesh Department of Culture was the chief guest for the concluding ceremony. The last day started with ‘Vhay, Me Savitri Boltey’ monoact produced by Prof Ram Shewalkar Pratishthan, Nagpur and enacted by Pooja Pimpalkar.

The act was written by Sushma Deshpande and directed by Shankar Shankhpale. Later, Tanushri Chavhan, renowned dancer, performed a solo performance of ‘Kathak’ dance. The programme was compered by Gauri Telang. Mannarkoli Shri J Balaji also lead a concluding session of the three-day ‘Vinyasa’ workshop. This session included an explanation of Tani Avartanam, a percussion solo based on various rhythmic forms taught in session 2.
