ANVESHAN-25: Innovation & Creativity in Electrical Engineering held at RBU

A CELEBRATION of technological advancements and creative ingenuity with applications of emerging technologies like Internet of Things (IoT) and AI in Electrical Engineering was witnessed at ANVESHAN’25 conducted by the IEEE PELS and IES Student Joint Chapter and the Electrical Engineering Students’ Association of Department of Electrical Engineering at Ramdeobaba University (RBU) Nagpur on March 7 and 8, 2025. The event featured a project competition, technical quiz and workshop on IoT applications. Total 40 teams from various engineering colleges in Vidarbha were shortlisted for the project competition.
 
The key attractions were projects in the area of human safety, renewable energy, robotics and automation, IoT, electric vehicle, all demonstrating students’ technical expertise. The event was inaugurated by Rahul Tarnekar, CEO, Kizora Software Pvt Ltd, Nagpur. Dr Sanjay Bodkhe, Registrar RBU, elaborated on the role of AI tools and appreciated the efforts taken by the students in developing the projects. Dr Uday Mujumdar, HoD, Electrical Engineering Department informed about the initiates taken at RBU in coordination with industries to prepare the electrical engineering graduates with AI skill sets, so as to enhance their employability and embed entrepreneurial endeavour and creative thinking in them. Prof Vishal Rathi and Prof Shubham Anjankar of RBU conducted the training.
 
The event was successfully organised by Aniket Kalamkar, Sidhart Chawre, Tanushree Waratkar and other student office-bearers under the guidance of faculty Advisors Dr V A Huchche, Dr Gaurav Goyal, and all other faculty members of the department. Dr Rajesh Pande, Vice-Chancellor, RBU and Dr Manoj Chandak, Principal, RCOEM Nagpur congratulated the department and student organisers for the success of the event.
