Realising the vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, BJP celebrated Sneh Milan Samaroh to celebrate the “Bihar Diwas”, on Saturday. Retired Subedar Ram Singh Sasan Rai, BJP City President Ratnesh Sonkar, MLA Ashok Rohani, MLA Abhilash Pandey, General Secretary Pankaj Dubey and Dr. Rajesh Jaiswal, Coordinator of the Uttar Pradesh-Bihar Mahasangh were the special guests on the occasion.
The programme commenced with the singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ and the Bihar state anthem. Later, the people who migrated from Bihar to Jabalpur and made it their workplace were felicitated for their contributions.
Addressing a huge gathering of party leaders and workers, BJP City President Sonkar said the party is dedicated to the vision of inclusive growth across the country. He stated that to honour those whose birthplace was Bihar but who have built their careers in Jabalpur, the party organised this event to strengthen unity.
Sonkar highlighted Bihar’s rich cultural heritage and traditions, which serve as a unifying force among diverse communities, including followers of Sanatan Dharma, Sikhism and Jainism. He also recalled Bihar’s glorious past, mentioning landmarks such as Nalanda University, Vaishali, Pataliputra and Sitamarhi.
MLA Ashok Rohani, MLA Abhilash Pandey and other speakers also shed light on Bihar’s rich history, traditions and culture. General Secretary Rajneesh Yadav conducted the proceedings of the programme while
General Secretary Pankaj Dubey proposed a vote of thanks. Those also present on the occasion were Abhay Singh Thakur, Arvind Kahar, Nagendra Singh, Rupa Rao, Shiva Choudhary, Shrikant Sahu, Ravi Sharma along with party office bearers and
workers.
