Warriors lift President’s Cup

 

 

TEAM Warrior lifted the President’s Cup hosted by Delhi Public School, Mihan. In final of the three-day inter-school tennis ball cricket tournament Team Warrior defeated Team Destroyers by 4 wickets. Swanand Haridas from the Warriors team was named Man of the Match for his decisive 33 runs and 1 wicket. Harman Singh received the Aranya Kedia All-Rounders Trophy for his outstanding batting, bowling, and fielding. Arush Waghade and Rajveer Kaul were awarded Best Batsman and Best Bowler, respectively.

 

Eight teams from various Nagpur schools competed for the coveted title. The tournament culminated with Dr Ashok Bagul, DSP, PCR Nagpur, as the chief guest. Tulika Kedia, President and Pro Vice-Chairperson, and Savita Jaiswal, Director of DPS Mihan and Kamptee Road Nagpur, joined virtually to motivate young players. Nidhi Yadav, Principal DPS Mihan Nagpur welcomed the guests and rendered the welcome address. Dr Bagul emphasised the importance of balancing sports and academics, encouraging students to consider sports as a profession.
