Dhurve’s brace in City Police win

YASH Dhurve struck twice as Nagpur City Police edged past Eagle Sports Club 2-1 in what was the last Super Six match of the JSW-NDFA Super Division and first played under lights at Dr Ambedkar Stadium in Suyog Nagar. Rahul Mundri’s 18th minute goal gave Eagle Sports Club and they maintained lead till the half-time. In first minute after change of ends, Dhurve fired in his first goal to level the scores.
 
In 65th minute, he added one more and the score remained 2-1 in favour of Nagpur City Police till the final hooter was blown. Policeman Azhar Shaikh was cautioned in 90+1 minute of play. There were a couple of yellow and red cards for Eagle Sports Club. Iqbal Danish was cautioned in 45+2 minutes while coach Zubair Khan was cautioned twice, first in 70th and then in 90+1 minutes, to be given marching orders. Manager Junaid Khan was shown direct red in 90+2 minutes. At the outset, the floodlights were inaugurated by Haresh Vora, President, Nagpur District Football Association at 9 pm, in presence of all the committee members.
