sub-junior girls stormedinto the semi-final of the ongoingSub-Junior Asmita State HockeyLeague at Major Dhyan Chan HockeyStadium in Pune.
For the second successive day, thegirls registered their second toemerged joint topped of Group B andbook semis berth.
On Saturday, the sub-junior girlsdefeated Raigad by three goals to one.
Bhargavi Urkudkar (7th, 26th) andSamruddhi Barve (11th) scored thegoals for Nagpur while for Raigad,
Azeena Ansari reduced the margin.
In their first match,
Nagpur got thebetter of Sangli 4-0 in a one-sidedencounter.
Palak Neware gave the lead toNagpur in the off a field goal.
Shrawani Tulankar then doubledthe lead after the change of ends converting a penatly corner.
Palak then scored her second andteam’s third goal in the 36th Maitri
Thakre rounded it off in the 50thminute.
