A tragic incident unfolded under the Bag Sewania police station limits on Friday night when a 65-year-old man, Raju Jadhav, allegedly took his own life by ingesting a toxic substance. However, his daughter has raised serious allegations, claiming that her father’s live-in partner was responsible for his death.
Jadhav, a resident of Amrai and a bus conductor at a private school, had been living with a woman for several years following the passing of his wife. This relationship was reportedly opposed by his children, including his daughter, Arti. According to sources, Jadhav had been staying with Arti for the last ten days but visited his live-in partner on Friday. Upon returning to his daughter’s home that night, his health rapidly declined.
He was rushed to Hamidia Hospital, where he succumbed during treatment on Saturday morning.
Arti alleged that her father’s live-in partner poisoned him, leading to his death. Meanwhile, the Bag Sewania police, led by Town Inspector Amit Soni, have initiated a probe. Preliminary findings suggest that Jadhav consumed the poisonous substance himself, possibly due to depression, while at his partner’s place.
