ANMOL Bhargava has been selected by British Shooting to represent Great Britain at the upcoming ISSF Junior World Cup to be held at Suhl in Germany, informs her coach Anil Pande. She is an overseas citizen of India and a British citizen with family links to Nagpur as both her maternal and paternal grand-parents and parents are from Nagpur.
Anmol had been to Nagpur and trained off-line under Pande, who imparts coaching at GRPF Headquarters Ajni, Jyotiba Phule NIT Sports Complex Swavalambi Nagar, ADBA Sports Complex KT Nagar Friends Colony and Besa. She is a dedicated shooter and keep her practice and training ongoing under the guidance of Anil Pande online.
Fourteen-year-old Anmol is the first Indian to represent Britain in any shooting
discipline.
She developed a keen liking for 10m air rifle shooting about two years back - when COVID restrictions ended, and has been shooting since then. Last year she won most of the British Nation competitions — British Open Airgun Championship, Scottish Target Shooting, Open Championship and English Smallbore Shooting Union championships.
