THE pair of Bhawanisingh Raje Bhonsle and Kiran Rathod defeated the combination of Bindesh Paul and Dushyant Mhaisalkar by an innings in the ongoing Central Provinces Club’s Late Advocate MB Naidu Snicket Tournament.
Bhonsle-Rathod drub Paul-Mhaisalkar by an innings with a score of 182 against 72. Scoring first, Bhonsle-Rathod made 82 points against which their opponents were bayed at 25 points in the second frame. As such Paul-Mhaisalkar were given follow on and in the third frame, that is the follow on frame, Paul-Mhaisalkar were required to make 57 to level up their score against their opponents and were required to score additional points to set a target for their opponents. However, Raje Bhonsle-Rathod bayed Paul-Mhaisalkar at 47 and won with innings margin.
In another match between Advit Agrawal-Tushar Sharma against Nikhil Surjan-Karan Kale, Agrawal-Sharma lost the match with a marginal score of 4 points and the match ended with final score of 183 against 179. Scoring first, the ever vibrant, entertaining and utmost humorous personality of the billiards room Surjan along with his partner Kale posted a score of 103 against which Agrawal-Sharma reached out at 99 in the second frame. In the third frame Surjan-Kale made 83 points which was contributed by 49 points of a single break of Surjan and against which their opponents, Agrawal-Sharma were required to make 87 points to win. However, Surjan Kale restricted their opponents at 80 points itself and won the match.
