In an effort to provide relief to citizens from the scorching heat, the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation has taken a new initiative. Municipal Commissioner Preeti Yadav informed that considering the intense heat and dust during summer season, steps have been taken to ensure comfort for pedestrians and the general public. Under the initiative, defogger machines have been installed at main squares in the city to help reduce the impact of extreme heat.

 

This small yet effective step taken by the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation has been widely appreciated by the citizens. Senior officials of the civic body informed that the defogger machines, purchased by the Municipal Corporation will be operated daily in the afternoon at various squares to provide some respite from the sweltering heat.

 

They stated that the initiative has received a positive response and is being well-received by the public. Senior officials further informed that defogger machines have been installed at various city squares including Teen Patti, Chhoti Line, Civic Canter, Bloom Chowk, Malviya Chowk, Rajiv Gandhi Chowk, Bandaria crossing, SBI Chowk, ISBT and Deendayal Chowk. The machines will operate daily in the afternoon hours to provide some relief from the blazing sun and also contribute to the city's clean air environment.
