The India Meteorological Department has forecast the possibility of rain, storms, and hailstorm activity in Madhya Pradesh for the upcoming four days. The department has advised people to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
Apart from Chhindwara, the State has not witnessed a significant impact of heat. Maximum temperatures have remained stable. However, looking at the districts with the highest maximum temperatures, the temperature in most districts has crossed 42 degrees Celsius.
The highest maximum temperature in the State was recorded at 44.6 degrees Celsius in Khajuraho. Looking at the maximum temperatures of major cities, Bhopal recorded 41.02, Gwalior 43, Narmadapuram 42.02, Indore 40, Pachmarhi 36.2, Ratlam 43, Shivpuri 44, Ujjain 41.4, Jabalpur 41.5, Khajuraho 44.6, Mandla 43, and Satna 43 degrees Celsius.
Analysing the temperatures, it is evident that the temperature in most districts of the state has reached above 42 degrees Celsius.
Therefore, intense heat is being felt in these districts. Significant changes have also been recorded in the minimum temperatures. Jabalpur recorded a minimum temperature of 22.6, Narsinghpur 24.2, Chhindwara 26, Seoni 25.2, Ujjain 21.1, Ratlam 25.6, Indore 24, Gwalior 21.3, and Bhopal 25.02 degrees Celsius.
Detailed forecast for the next four days: April 27: There is a possibility of thunderstorms with strong winds and hailstorms at a speed of 50-60 km/h in Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Balaghat, and Pandhurna districts. Thunderstorms with strong winds at a speed of 40-50 km/h are likely in Narmadapuram, Betul, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, and Mandla districts.
Heatwave conditions are likely at isolated places in Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, and Shivpuri districts. April 28: There is a possibility of thunderstorms with strong winds and hailstorms at a speed of 50-60 km/h in Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, and Pandhurna districts. Thunderstorms with strong winds at a speed of 40-50 km/h are likely in Narmadapuram, Betul, Singrauli, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Panna, and Damoh districts. Heatwave conditions are likely at isolated places in Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, and Sheopurkalan districts. Thunderstorms are likely in Vidisha district. April 29 and 30: Thunderstorms with strong winds at a speed of 40-50 km/h are likely in Singrauli and Sidhi districts. Heatwave conditions are likely at isolated places in Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, and Sheopurkalan districts.
