Gohalpur police nabbed two youths involved in illegal trade and transportation of liquor and seized 153 bottles of English liquor, 50 pouches of country liquor, 2 mobile phones and an i10 car from them. Arrested have been identified as Deepak Rajak (27), resident of Dumna Road, Sainik Society near Maruti Hotel in Khamaria and Aditya Sahu (21), resident of Siddhbaba Sahu Mohalla in Ghamapur. SHO of Gohalpur Police Station, Pratiksha Marko informed that police received information about two boys, aged around 22–25 years, were transporting
illegal liquor in a white Hyundai i10 car bearing registration number MP-20CF-7527 from Khajri Khiriya Bypass for sale. Taking prompt action on the information, police laid a trap at Aman Nagar-Amkhera Road. They spotted the car matching the informant’s description.
Upon noticing the police, the vehicle attempted to flee into Aman Nagar but was intercepted. Upon searching the vehicle, 5 cartons containing liquor were found in the rear seats and the car’s trunk. The seized liquor included 36 bottles of English liquor, 47 bottles of Whisky, 35 bottles of McDowell’s Rum, 35 bottles of 8 PM Whisky and 50 pouches of country liquor. Gohalpur police have seized illegal stock of bottles of English liquor, 50 pouches of country liquor, 2 mobile phones and i10 car. Both accused have been booked under Section 34(2) of the Excise Act. Consignment was seized with active working of police team comprised of SI, Kishore Bagri, Head Constables Virendra Pratap Singh, Deen Dayal, Constables Gopal Rai, Alok Yadav, Abhiranjan Singh, Harendra Yadav and Amit.
