Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has presented a visionary plan for the development of Bhopal, emphasising both the preservation of the city’s rich heritage and the assurance of modern development. He has stated that the city’s history will hold a significant place in Bhopal’s planning. As part of this, gateways dedicated to Raja Bhoj on the route to Bhojpur and to Emperor Vikramaditya on the route to Ujjain will be constructed. The construction of these gateways will begin soon. While discussing the development of ‘Bhopal @2047’, Chief Minister said that the capital should reflect the essence of various regions of the state. He also emphasised the plan to develop Bhopal as a metropolitan area by creating a transportation network to Agra-Mumbai Road in the west and to Vidisha, Raisen, and Sehore. Chief Minister Dr Yadav gave these instructions while reviewing the development works of Bhopal district at the Ministry. Several ministers and officials were present at the meeting.
 
Public representatives expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for removing the BRTS corridor from Bhopal, as it has reduced road accidents. Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that the Global Investors Summit has established Bhopal as an important center of trade and industry. He spoke about promoting development in sectors such as education, medicine, tourism, and industry. He emphasized the need to integrate road transport and metro facilities in the city. The Chief Minister stated that the construction of transport infrastructure should be multi-purpose, and the suggestions of public representatives should be included in the planning of routes. He also directed the use of satellite surveys in city planning and monitoring the construction of illegal settlements.
 
The Chief Minister spoke about making the installation of CCTV cameras mandatory in approved colonies and directed that the rules for constructing high-rise buildings in Bhopal be implemented uniformly with other parts of the State. Chief Minister Dr Yadav emphasized the need to ensure that developed residential facilities, aimed at creating a slum-free city, are not rented out. He warned against illegal colonies and slum construction and said that the revenue and municipal corporation officers of the concerned area will be responsible for such activities.

The Chief Minister directed swift action on land management in the BHEL area and the installation of solar panels on all government buildings in Bhopal. He said that Bhopal should set an ideal example for the country in the use of solar energy. The Chief Minister also directed to control anti-social elements and ensure effective policing in Bhopal district. The meeting informed that two metro projects are underway in Bhopal: AIIMS to Karond Chauraha and Bhadbhada Chauraha to Ratnagiri Tiraha. An agreement has been reached to use BHEL’s land on a 50-50 model for the benefit of both the city and BHEL. An industrial area is being developed on 31.21 hectares of land in the Achapura area, with a cost of Rs 32.29 crore, considering the demand from industries. Similarly, a ready-made garment hosiery park is planned to be developed on 69.91 hectares of land in Satgarhi village of Kolar area. Mayor Malti Rai, MLAs Rameshwar Sharma, Bhagwan Das Sabnani, and Vishnu Khatri, along with several senior officials, were present at the meeting.
