Delikar bags Asian gold

 

NAGPUR’S talented yoga exponent Bharat Delikar did the city proud by winning a gold medal in the 2nd Asian Yoga Competition that was held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi from April 25 to 27. Players from as many as 20 countries participated in the Asian Yoga Competition. Bharat won the gold medal in the yoga category of forward bending. Bharat had secured a place in the Indian team by performing excellently in the selection trails held recently at Sonipat. Now, winning the gold medal has justified his selection.

 

Bharat practices regularly under the guidance of coach Anil Mohgaonkar, who is also secretary of the Nagpur District Yogasana Sports Association, at the Unity Sports Association in Bapunagar. For his success, Maharashtra Yogasana Sports Association President Dr Sanjay Malpani, Technical Director Satish Mohgaonkar, Prof Dr Arun Khodaskar, Secretary Rajesh Pawar, Prakash Masurkar, Guddu Gomase, Bhushan Takey and others have congratulated him.
