ICAI postpones CA exams due totension between India, Pakistan

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the postponement of the Chartered Accountant examinations. Accordingly, the remaining papers for qualification, the final and intermediate level scheduled till May 14, 2025, have been postponed. The announcement comes against the backdrop of tension between India and Pakistan. The examinations were supposed to start from Friday. The announcement, issued by Joint Secretary (Examinations) CA Anand Kumar Chaturvedi, says,
 
‘In partial modification of the institute’s important announcement dated January 13, 2025, its announced for general information that in view of the tense and security situation in the country, the remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and post qualification course examinations (International Taxation- Assessment Test May 2025 from May 9, 2025 and May 14, 2025 stand postponed. The revised dates will be announced in due course. The candidates are advised to stay in touch with the website of the Institute ‘www.icai.org’. According to data of ICAI, 1.58 lakh students were to write May Final and Intermediate examinations.
