Kotwali police have arrested an accused involved in the sale of intoxicating injections and seized nine injections from his possession. The arrested has been identified as Tanuj Jain (24), a resident of Samdariya Complex in Cherital area. SHO of Kotwali Police Station Vipin Tamrakar, informed that a boy wearing a maroon shirt and blue jeans with a beard was seen roaming near Jaipur Marble in Gopalbagh and trying to sell narcotic injections. Taking prompt action on the information, police started a search in the area and spotted the suspect matching the description. Witnessing the police, suspect tried to escape from the spot but alert cops managed to catch him.

 

The suspect identified himself as Tanuj Jain, a resident of Samdariya Complex, Cherital. During the search, police recovered a white pouch from the right pocket of his jeans containing nine 10 ml injections of Pheniramine Maleate IP (Avil). The injections were seized on the spot. Kotwali police have registered a case against the accused under Section 5/13 of the Madhya Pradesh Drug Control Act and further investigation is underway. The accused was apprehended with active working of police team comprised of Sub-Inspector Sanjay Gurjar and constables Rupesh and Vijay.
