a student of Indian Olympiad School, has emerged as the city topper in the science stream with score of 97 per cent, in the CBSE Class 12 results declared on Tuesday. A student of science, Devesh’s remarkable achievement comes as a result of his dedication and strategic preparation, as he was simultaneously preparing for NEET, which shares a similar syllabus with the board exams.

 

Devesh, who aspires to become a neurosurgeon, has a deep interest in human physiology. “I’ve always been fascinated by how the human body works, especially the brain,” he said. Though he found physics challenging, his hard work paid off as he scored a perfect 100 in the subject. He attributes his success to his parents, father Vijay Kolte, an employee at a private company, and mother Manisha Kolte, an English teacher at a private school, whose constant support and encouragement kept him motivated. He also finds inspiration in his elder brother Mohit Kolte. “I owe everything to my parents. Their sacrifices and support made this possible,” Devesh shared humbly. As he now sets his eyes on cracking NEET, the young achiever is focused on his dream of serving society through the field of neurosurgery.
