Mobile number update facility for HSRP available on WhatsApp

 

 

 

As per the provisions laid down under the Central Motor Vehicles Act-1988 and Central Motor Vehicles Rules-1989, as well as in compliance with the instructions issued from time to time by the High Court, it has been made mandatory to install High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) in all vehicles registered before 1 April 2019 in the state of Chhattisgarh. It is also necessary to update the mobile number of the vehicle owners, so that they can receive the relevant information and updates directly on their registered mobile number. Keeping in mind the convenience of the public, this service has now been made available through online medium by the Regional Transport Office (RTO) Durg.

 

Vehicle owners can now update their mobile number by sending their RC card, Aadhar card and new mobile number to the concerned employees of the RTO through WhatsApp. The authorized employees of RTO Durg for contact and their WhatsApp numbers is available in the office. After the new mobile number is updated, the vehicle owner will be able to proceed with the process of high security registration plate for his vehicle. This facility has been started to save the vehicle owners from any kind of inconvenience and to make the process smooth.
