The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken significant action against 17 marriage gardens operating without permission and adequate safety arrangements in the city, sealing them shut. This joint operation involved zonal officers, assistant health officers, and the anti-encroachment squad. Corporation teams inspected the following locations: Bhavya Manorama on Bhanpur Vidisha Road, Mannat Garden on Chola Road, Sarovar Wedding Hall in Kabarkhana, Crystal Marriage Garden Suraj Farms in Data Colony, Gangotri Hotel, Sharma Vishnu Garden, Shiv Sawariya Marriage Garden in Neelbad, Rose Marriage Garden on Airport Road, Aero Marriage Garden in Abbas Nagar, Three Gems Lounge in Data Colony Laukhedi, Welcome Farm Garden in Halalpur, Fiza Farms, Whispering Farm in Data Colony, Mayur Wedding Hall in Nariyalkheda, Alam Wedding Hall in Ahata Manakasha, Tomar Wedding Hall in Subhash Colony, Hayati Wedding Hall, Diamond Party Hall, and Ramesh Chandra Smriti Community Hall in Chitragupta Nagar Kotra. During the inspection, it was found that all these marriage gardens were being run without any valid licenses and adequate safety measures. Following this, the corporation teams immediately sealed all 17 establishments. The municipal corporation had duly issued notices to the concerned marriage garden operators before this action, but despite this, they failed to comply with the rules. The Municipal Commissioner has clarified that no commercial activity of any kind will be allowed.
