RAIPUR,
Raipur Municipal Corporation’s Sushasan Tihar 2025 continued its successful run with a Samadhan Camp held at the Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium for seven wards under Zone 4 on Thursday. This initiative achieved a remarkable 100 per cent quality and instant resolution for all 1,413 applications received in the first phase, comprising 1,203 demands and 210 complaints.
The camp was inaugurated by South MLA Sunil Soni, North MLA Purandar Mishra, Mayor Meenal Choubey, Chairman Suryakant Rathore, and Commissioner Vishwadeep. These officials, alongside SDM Nand Kumar Choubey, MIC members Manoj Verma, Agar Gidwani, Sanjana Hiyal, Zone 4 Chairman Murali Sharma, Zone 5 Chairman Amber Agarwal, and Councillors Ajay Sahu and Akash Tiwari, were present to inform citizens about the resolutions.
Immediate solutions were provided on-site, with the Social Welfare Department promptly handing over a tricycle to differently-abled citizen Hemant Deep and hearing aids to three hearing-impaired individuals (Dinesh Kumar Soni, Madhavi Soni, and Nishad).
The Labor Department also swiftly issued labor registration cards to two citizens, and Annaprasan ceremonies were performed for newborn babies at the Women and Child Development Department’s stall.
South MLA Sunil Soni urged officials to be proactive in addressing cleanliness and drinking water issues, even if it meant physically inspecting drains. He stressed the importance of ensuring that all eligible applicants under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana receive their houses.
Raipur North MLA Purandar Mishra highlighted the widespread response to Sushasan Tihar, noting that while 40 lakh applications were received statewide, Raipur Municipal Corporation alone received 15,000, indicating an aware citizenry. Mayor Meenal Choubey reaffirmed the Municipal Corporation’s commitment to solving public problems with honesty. She specifically instructed officials to seriously address the drinking water issues in Brahmanpara and Sadar Bazar wards, urging them to improve systems under the Amrit Mission and 24x7 drinking water scheme.
Choubey contrasted Sushasan Tihar with previous camps, where only problems were recorded without ensuring resolution awareness. She assured that houses would be made available to tenants under the ‘More Makaan More Aas’ component of PMAY and instructed officers to conduct fieldwork rather than remain in their offices, stressing that negligence would not be tolerated. Chairman Suryakant Rathore commended the officers for their dedication in resolving applications promptly, often working through the night. The program was emceed by Deputy Commissioner Preeti Singh, with MIC member Manoj Verma delivering the vote of thanks.
