Dr Panigrahi enters Limca Book of Records for non-stop envirothon

Dr Vishwanath Panigrahi, an environmental activist, has entered the “Limca Book of World Records Achiever Award” for his continuous participation in the online Envirothon 2024 for 29 hours non-stop. The event, organized by IGEN India, centered around the conservation of Panchabhuta (five elements) and the theme of the United Nations COP 29. He was also recognized as a “Star Participant” for his remarkable feat. The globally organized program witnessed participation from 29 countries over 29 hours.
 
Dr. Panigrahi expressed his delight at receiving this honor, stating that the Envirothon was a global initiative interconnected with Panchabhuta conservation and the United Nations Climate Change Conference. IGEN India organized the event, which saw continuous engagement from 29 countries, 29 partners, 29 states, 29 districts, and 299 speakers, all deliberating for 29 hours for a better world.
 
Dr. Panigrahi said he was pleased to have the opportunity to participate in such a global conclave and contribute his suggestions such as reducing carbon footprint, promoting green flights and green energy, establishing a separate SDG for the conservation of the sky and space, adopting an environment-friendly lifestyle, and avoiding deforestation for development. These suggestions were well-received by the global community participating in the IGEN Envirothon 2024. Dr. Panigrahi extended his gratitude and appreciation to the Limca Book of Records institution, Dr. L. Ramesh President, IGEN India and organize, and the entire IGEN team.
