Chief Minister honours employees, announces health insurance scheme
Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav praised State employees as true ‘karma yogis’ for their pivotal role in advancing public welfare and development, making Madhya Pradesh a frontrunner among Indian states. Addressing the Madhya Pradesh State Employees’ Union felicitation ceremony at Ravindra Bhavan, he emphasised that establishing an efficient system to improve citizens’ lives is the State Government’s core objective, with employees’ dedication being the cornerstone of its success.
The Union honoured Dr Yadav for his recent employee-friendly decisions, presenting him with a shawl, coconut, memento and large garlands, while members performed a tilak ceremony.
Dr Yadav inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp and offering tributes to Goddess Saraswati and veteran labour leader Dattopant Thengadi. MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, Union President Hemant Shrivastava, and General Secretary Jitendra Singh were among the dignitaries present. The CM announced approval of a long-standing demand for a health insurance scheme for employees, aligning with PM Narendra Modi’s vision of ensuring comprehensive welfare. He highlighted that the double-engine Government has synchronised State employees’ dearness allowance with central rates, resolved nine-year-pending house rent allowance issue and
implemented a transfer policy to enhance employees’ and their families’ convenience.
The CM reiterated the Government’s commitment to addressing employees’ longstanding issues systematically.
Special recruitment drives have filled all police vacancies, and police bands have been sanctioned for every district. Annual Public Service Commission exams ensure timely filling of vacant posts, while Government housing is being prioritised to improve employees’ living conditions.
A public bus service is also set to commence, further easing commuting. Dr Yadav noted the allocation of 3,000 new residences in New Market inaugurated and allotted to employees, as a step towards a more comfortable life.
Additionally, Anganwadi workers, mini Anganwadi workers, and assistants have been granted benefits under PM Jeevan Jyoti and Suraksha Bima Yojana.
Dr Yadav underscored the State’s industrial growth, which is generating employment opportunities, with incentives for job-oriented industries. The Government aims to increase dairy production from 9% to 20%, boosting rural economies.
Aligning with PM Modi’s focus on uplifting youth, women, farmers, and the poor, Madhya Pradesh is implementing numerous initiatives. The State’s infrastructure, including electricity, water, roads, and connectivity, surpasses many others, reflecting robust governance.
Dr Yadav expressed gratitude for employees’ support, affirming that the Government and workforce will continue to work as a cohesive team to enhance the lives of Madhya Pradesh’s citizens.
