NAGPUR’S young chess sensation Nihansh Khode has made a remarkable achievement by winning the Maharashtra U-7 Chess Championship. The talented youngster remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, winning eight rounds and drawing one. The championship, which was held over two days, saw Nihansh and Kavish Bhat finishing with an identical score of 8.5 points.

 

However, Nihansh emerged as the champion due to the Buchholz Tie-Break system. Nihansh’s impressive performance is a testament to his dedication and hard work. His victory is sure to inspire young chess enthusiasts in Nagpur and beyond. The championship, which was organised by the Maharashtra Chess Association, saw participation from 103 players from various districts.
