World Museum Day was celebrated on Sunday. The city was no exception. The Central Museum at Civil Lines witnessed large number of footfalls. The visitors were delighted to witness the artifacts of India’s glorious past. The highlights of this year’s World Museum Day celebrations in city was the iconic ‘Wagh Nak’. The one of its kind hidden weapon was used by Great Maratha King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to kill Afzal Khan. Not only the ‘Wagh Nak’, but the Shivaji Maharaj era of swords, spears, bow and arrow, axe and importantly, the ‘Rajshastra’ declared ‘Dandapatta’ also were the cynosure of visitors’ eyes. The Curator of Central Museum Mayuresh Khadke and Assistant Curator Vinayak Nitthulkar made efforts to make the day memorable.
