Gosalpur police solved a blind murder mystery of a minor boy and arrested two accused. The arrested have been identified as Raju alias Rajiv Kumar Krishnakumar Lodhi Patel (42) and Karan alias Karan Raju Lodhi Patel (19), both residents of Bhadamkhurd village in Gosalpur. The minor boy was killed following his affair with a girl by her father and brother. It may be noted that, May 17, Madan Mahal Police received information from Ashish Hospital that a teenager, Kunal Katare (17), a resident of Bhadamkhurd, was brought in by Ravi Katare in a critical condition. Despite medical efforts, Kunal succumbed to his injuries. Preliminary proceedings were carried out and the case was transferred to Gosalpur Police Station for further investigation as the incident site fell under their jurisdiction. During the investigation, Kunal’s family informed that he had gone out on the night of May 16 to guard the family’s farmland. The next morning, he was found unconscious and seriously injured in the same field.

 

A case was registered under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against unknown persons. Taking the matter seriously, Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay constituted a team for further investigation and apprehending the accused. Under the guidance of Additional SP Rural Suryakant Sharma and SDOP Sihora Parul Sharma, a special team led by SHO of Gosalpur Police Station Rajendra Singh Marskole was formed. Police learned that the victim was in a relationship with a 17-year-old girl, which had angered her father. Upon suspicion, police detained the girl’s father and brother.

 

During interrogation, the father confessed that on the night of May 16, after discovering his daughter missing, he and his son searched for her and found her sitting with Kunal in a field. Enraged by the sight, the father and son physically assaulted Kunal with fists and then struck him on the head with a bamboo stick, causing critical injuries. They then took the girl back home and left Kunal in the field. Based on their confession, police recovered the bamboo stick used in the assault and the clothes worn during the incident. Both accused, aged 42 and 19, were formally arrested. The blind murder mystery was solved with active working of police team led by SHO, Gosalpur Police Station Rajendra Singh Marskole comprised Manoj Kuril, Head Constables Brajesh Mishra and Ajit Mishra, Constables Rahul Patel, Ravindra Singh, Awadhesh Kushwaha and Home Guard Shivkumar.
