NEW DELHI :
A MULTI-PARTY delegation
led by JD (U) MP Sanjay Jha
on Wednesday left for Japan to
put across India’s views on terrorism emanating from
Pakistan.
The delegation will also visit South Korea, Malaysia,
Indonesia, and Singapore as
part of New Delhi’s outreach
following Operation Sindoor
and the subsequent conflict
between India and Pakistan.
As many as
nine terror
camps were hit
inside Pakistan
and Pakistanoccupied
Kashmir by Indian forces to
avenge the Pahalgam terror
attack, which left at least 26
civilians dead.
The delegation led by Jha
includes BJP MPs Aparajita
Sarangi, Brijlal, Pradhan Barua
and Hemang Joshi, Congress
leader and former external
affairs minister Salman
Khurshid, TMC MP Abhishek
Banerjee, CPI(M)’s John Brittas,
and former ambassador
Mohan Kumar.
Another delegation led by
Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde
will also left for the UAE,
Liberia, Congo and Sierra
Leone.
The Government is sending
seven multi-party delegations
to reach out to the international community on
Pakistan’s designs and India’s
response to terror.
Echoing a united stance
against terrorism, NCP-SCP
MP Supriya Sule on Wednesday
asserted that the members of
all party delegations are representing India,
not any political party, during
their visit to foreign countries as part of a outreach against Pakistan’s support for terrorism on the global stage.
Addressing a press conference, Sule, who is a member of
oneoftheall-partydelegations,
said, “We are not going on
behalfoftheparty.Wearegoing
to other countries on behalf of
India. “
“In the all-party meeting, it
was decided thatwewould not
speak against the Central
Government. NCP-SCP chief
Sharad Pawar also said this is
not the right time to convene
a Parliament session.
There
should be a discussion in the
Parliamentafter theOperation
Sindoor concludes. Right now,
also the Operation Sindoor is
underway,” the Baramati MP
added.
Group 7, led by NCP (SCP)
MP Supriya Sule, will be representingIndia’sstandinEgypt,
Qatar, Ethiopia, and South
Africa.BJP’sRajivPratapRuddy,
Anurag Singh Thakur, and V
Muraleedharan, along with
Congress’ Manish Tewari,
Anand Sharma, TDP’s Lavu Sri
Krishna Devarayalu, AAP’s
Vikramjeet Singh Sahney, and
former permanent representative of India to the UN, Syed
Akbaruddin, will be putting
forth India’s policy of zero tolerance against terrorism
