Para bodies felicitate Adamkar
 
RECIPIENT of Shiv Chhatrapati Award, Mangala Nainsukh Adamkar was felicitated and honoured by officials of various para bodies (divyang sanstha) of the region, informs Rahul Lekurwale, Secretary, Para Volleyball Association, Maharashtra through a press release. Paralympic disabled athlete Adamkar, who was bestowed the prestigious Maharashtra Government’s Shiv Chhatrapati State Sports Award for the year 23-24 by the Governor of Maharashtra in august presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister and Sports Minister.
 
For this glorious achievement Adamkar was felicitated and honoured by Sanjay Bhoskar, recipient of Eklavya State Sports Awards and Sports Mentor Awards; Dinesh Yadav, recipient of Eklavya Sports Awards and former Corporator; coach Raju Dudhankar, Rahul Lekurwale, social and sports activist; Dhananjay Upasani, divyang sports coach. On this occasion, the office-bearers and executive board of trustees of Para Volleyball Association, Maharashtra, Vidarbha Divyang Cricket Association, Para Kabaddi Association, Maharashtra, Nagpur District Paralympic Association were prominently present and wished her well for her future endeavours. Mangala started playing field games for the disabled, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw since 2011. She plays in the Para Athletics Category F-41, till now she has won a total of 20 gold and 5 silver medals in state and national competitions. She has played the National Disabled Cricket Championship three times and has played the National Sitting Volleyball Championship once.
