A shocking case has emerged from the Annapurna police station area in Indore, Madhya Pradesh’s economic capital, where Mohsin Khan, a coach at the Dream Olympic Shooting Academy, has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing female students. Following a complaint by a victim, the police registered a case under stringent sections and apprehended the accused.
The victim, a resident of Malharganj, revealed that she had been training in rifle shooting at the academy from 2021 until November 2023. On November 8, 2023, Mohsin Khan allegedly molested her under the pretext of teaching her how to hold a rifle. When she resisted, he threatened to ruin her career, stating, “If you want to stay in the academy, you must do as I say, or I’ll destroy your career.”
Frightened and ashamed, the victim initially remained silent but later confided in her family, who encouraged her to file a complaint at the police station.
The Right wing organisation had previously raised concerns about suspicious activities at the academy.
Based on discreet surveillance, the organisation collected videos and statements indicating that Mohsin Khan was luring innocent Hindu girls into a trap, exploiting them physically and mentally.
Investigations revealed that he would call girls to a lower floor of the academy, engage in inappropriate behaviour, and record videos.
Upon seizing Mohsin Khan’s mobile phone, the police discovered chats, photos, and videos involving over 150 girls, exposing a disturbing pattern of predatory behaviour facilitated through social media and the academy. Additional DCP (Crime Branch) Rajesh Dandotia confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused under charges of molestation, criminal intimidation, sexual harassment, and provisions of the IT Act. The police are conducting a detailed digital forensic analysis of his phone to identify other potential victims. Dandotia added that if more victims come forward, additional charges may be applied.
