THE ambience at the Vidarbha Bridge Association sports complex continued to remain upbeat as bridge crazy ladies and gentlemen were seen competing in pairs and duplicate events. Mohota, led by seasoned bridge players B Mohota, S Chhajed, Samir Roy and Anilkumar Mohota, emerged champions in duplicate bridge tournament organised by VBA in their sports complex this weekend. Competing in 40 deals contest played across 5 rounds of 8 boards each, Mohota earned 74.79 VP and seized the top honours.

 

Playwell finished runners-up with a tally of 61.66 VP. Their performance came from efforts put on by father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar and Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev. In MP pairs event played a day earlier, S Hastak and L Madne turned out to be the winners. S Rathi and C Nahar finished runners-up. Attractive cash prizes were awarded to all the winners. Amit Rewatkar was tournament director for this brain game.
