PM Modi virtually inaugurates 103 railway station facilities

EIGHTEEN railway stations in Gujaratareamongthe103‘Amrit Bharat’ stations that were virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Bikaner in Rajasthan on Thursday morning, an official release said. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was present at Limbdi railway station in Surendranagar district to witness the virtual inauguration of these redeveloped railway stations by PM Modi. These18stations,redeveloped under the Centre’s Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, include Sihor, Utaran, Dakor, Derol, Hapa, Jamjodhpur, Jamvanthali, Kanalus, Karamsad, Kosamba, Limbdi, Mahuva, Mithapur, Morbi, Okha, Palitana, Rajula and Samkhyali. Addressing an eventatLimbdistation,CMPatel said these 18 stations in Gujarat have been redeveloped as Amrit Bharat stations at Rs 164 crore. The stations have been upgradedtoprovidebetteramenities to passengers.
 
HesaidtheModiGovernment has redevelopedtheLimbdirailway station, which is directly linked to spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda, at Rs 10.55 crore. Of the 1,300 railway stations being redeveloped under the AmritBharatStationScheme, 87 areinGujaratand18ofthemwere inaugurated by the PM on Thursday, said the CM. REDEVELOPED HAIBARGAON RAILWAY STATION IN ASSAM: PRIME Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday virtually inaugurated the redeveloped Haibargaon railway station in Assam as part ofanational programmetounveil103suchfacilities.
 
An official ofthe Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) said the programme at the station in Nagaondistrictwas attended by Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita and Assam Revenue Minister Keshab Mahanta.“Thisevent standsout as a landmark in the national rolloutoftheAmritBharatStation Scheme (ABSS) as Haibargaon becomes thefirstrailwaystation inAssamamong50stationsidentified in the State, to be inaugurated under this ambitious scheme,” NFR said in a statement. 3 AMRIT BHARAT RAILWAY STATIONS IN WB: PRIME Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated three redeveloped railway stations in West Bengal under the Centre’s Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, officials said.
