NEWLY-STARTED :
Nagpur South West Football Academy (NSWFA), made an immediate impact clinching their maiden football title in their first appearance of a tournament.
NSWFA clinched the five-a-side Pavilion Sports Cup organised by Pavilion Sports Arena at Gorewada Turf, Gorewada Road on Friday.
In the final, NSWFA thrashed Star FC 5-0 in a one-sided summit clash.
Virat Waghaye scored three goals while Soham Neware scored a brace in the final. Waghaye was named man of the final.
In the semi-final, NSWFA recorded a fighting 2-1 win over formidable Teka FC. Arnav Satpute and Waghaye were the scorers.
In earlier round matches, NSWFA beat Squadron FC 4-2 and ousted IFFC 3-2. They also beat St Joseph, Fetri on penalties with Waghaye, Satpute and Advay Agrawal scoring the goals.
It was goalkeeper Anvay Jambhulkar who made brilliant saves in the shoot-out.
