Shah gets rousing welcome Hundreds of BJP workers throng airport

 

Bharatiya Janata Party City unit gave a grand welcome to Union Home Minister Amit Shah after his arrival at Nagpur on Sunday by a special flight. A welcome ceremony was organised at Dr Hedgewar Square in front of Hotel Pride. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Revenue and Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, City BJP President Dayashankar Tiwari, MLAs Pravin Datke, Krishna Khopde, MLC Sandip Joshi, General Secretary Sandip Gavai and others were present.

 

After his arrival at the airport, Devendra Fadnavis, Bawankule, Chief Secretary Sujata Sounik, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Iqbalsingh Chahal, Divisional Commissioner Vijayalaxmi Bidari, Commissioner of Police Dr Ravinder Kumar Singal, MLA Dr Ashish Deshmukh, Special Inspector General of Police Sandip Patil, Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Dr Abhijeet Chaudhai welcomed Shah. MLAs Krishna Khopde, Pravin Datke, Sandip Joshi, Dr Upendra Kothekar, Sanjay Phanje, former MLA Dr Milind Mane, Sudhakar Kohale, State Vice-President Sanjay Bhende, Ram Ambulkar, Sandeep Gawai, Ashwini Jichkar, Vishnu Changde, Pragati Patil, Archana Dehankar, Satish Sirswan, Dharmapal Meshram, Ritesh Gawade, Vinod Kanhere, Shrikant Agalave, Setram Selokar, Vijay Asole, Ganesh Kantode, Bhojraj Dumbe, former corporators along with hundreds of women, men, girls and youth were present.

 

The entire intersection was resonating with the slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Bharatiya Janata Party Cha Vijay Aso. On Monday, Amit Shah will grace two functions--one at Chicholi, Kamptee and other is National Cancer Institute (NCI). He will reach NCI, Jamtha at 11.15 am. Shah will perform bhoomipujan of this facility which will be known as ‘Swasti Niwas’. The Home Minister will then depart for Chicholi in Kamptee taluka at 12.53 by special helicopter. At 1.15 pm Shah will perform bhoomipujan of the proposed building of sub- centre of National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU). Shah will reach Nagpur airport at 2.05 pm by a helicopter and will leave for Nanded at 2.10 pm.
