Pandaria MLA Bhawna Bohra dedicated 10 water tankers to public service to address the issue of water scarcity in forested and remote areas of the constituency. With this commendable initiative, residents of these regions, who were previously forced to drink water from rivulets, will now have access to clean drinking water. The tankers, procured at an estimated cost of around Rs 25 lakh from the MLA fund, will ensure a smooth and regular supply of potable water to remote villages, especially during the summer season. The MLA flagged off the 10 water tankers, each with a capacity of 3,500 litres, which have been allocated to the gram panchayats of Birhuldih, Kandawani, Sendurkhar, Amaniya, Teliapani, Ledra, Badna, Agarpani, Chhindidih, Kui, Damgarh, and Bhelki.

These tankers will be operated by local public representatives to ensure effective distribution. Villagers expressed joy and gratitude towards the MLA, as the initiative will spare them the hardship of fetching water from distant sources, allowing them to save time and energy that can now be devoted to daily routines and agricultural work. On this occasion, the MLA also inaugurated and performed bhoomi pujan (ground-breaking) ceremonies for infrastructure and development projects worth Rs 42.5 lakh in Birhuldih and Majgaon villages. She laid the foundation stone for a community hall in Birhuldih, inaugurated a newly constructed CC road, and laid the foundation for another CC road and community hall in Majgaon. She pointed out that the lack of water tankers in forest villages earlier caused difficulties during weddings and other social or religious functions.

With the availability of tankers, these problems will now be addressed, ensuring a timely water supply. Reaffirming her commitment to the public, the MLA said she would continue working with full responsibility towards the welfare and development of the region. She emphasized that the water tankers would provide household access to clean water, helping to prevent waterborne diseases. Additionally, rural women, who earlier spent long hours fetching water, will now have more time for agriculture and other productive work, thereby gaining economic empowerment. In many forest villages, residents were forced to traverse rugged terrain to fetch water, often from contaminated springs due to falling groundwater levels and drying natural sources. With the assured supply of clean water, their health and well-being are expected to improve. She concluded by stating that comprehensive development and the expansion of basic facilities remain her top priorities, and with public support, she is confident of making Pandaria an ideal and prosperous assembly constituency.
