It may be mentioned that a woman employee associated with RDU, complained at Raj Bhavan, Higher Education Department and other authorities accusing the University Vice-chancellor of committing mis-conduct. The employee alleged that the Vice-chancellor made obscene gestures during a meeting called at VC chamber on November 21, 2024. This act was captured at the CCTV cameras installed in the chamber. The woman employee demanded the university administration to hand her over the CCTV footage mentioning it an important evidence. But when the administration did not respond to her request, she filed a petition at the MP High Court demanding an impartial investigation on the incident. During hearing in the High Court, it was observed that the two separate committees constituted for investigation were somehow came under pressure. Raising questions on the inquiry report of both the committees, the Court instructed the DGP to conduct transparent inquiry by constituting an SIT. The SIT has to submit it’s report till June 16.
