SOON, passengers from Nagpur will be able to fly to Manchester and Amsterdam on a single ticket Passenger Name Record (PNR) code, with convenient connecting flights via Mumbai airport. This new service is expected to start on July 1. IndiGo Airlines will be introducing this service to simplify international travel from Nagpur.
Though there will be a 4-5 hour waiting period for the passengers at the Mumbai airport, they will benefit from the streamlined scheduling.
The passenger travelling from Nagpur to Manchester, will have to borad from Nagpur airport which will land in Mumbai at around midnight.Further, the onward flight will depart from Mumbai 4:15 am. For those travelling to Amsterdam, the Nagpur flight will leave at 10:35 pm, reach Mumbai by midnight, and getting connect to the onward flight at 5:20 am, said sources.
It is important to note that the immigration clearance will be completed in Mumbai, making the process smoother for travellers.
This new service will allow passengers to onboard their luggage at Nagpur and retrieve their luggage at Amsterdam or Manchester airport, depending on the destination they are going to. Currently there is no direct flights to any European destinations and thus this new one-ticket offering marks a significant step forward in enhancing international connectivity for the city. The domestic leg to Mumbai is already operational, and these new international connections are set to provide a much more convenient travel experience.
The PNR code is required for online check-in and it is the fastest way to get flight details. Online check-in shortens the amount of time spent at the airport and helps passengers to have a comfortable flight experience.
