Nagpur Division performs best in ‘100-day Action Plan for Regional Offices’

Best Divisional Commissioner, Nagpur ZP CEO, Chandrapur District Collector and Nagpur and Gondia Superintendents of Police offices won 
 
Nagpur Division has performed well in the ‘100-day Action Plan for Regional Offices’ and five offices from the Division have been declared the best. Chandrapur District Collector Vinay Gowda has secured the first position in the State, while Divisional Commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari and Nagpur Zilla Parishad CEO Vinayak Mahamuni have secured the second position. Nagpur Superintendent of Police Dr Harssh Poddar and Gadchiroli Superintendent of Police Nilotpal also secured joint second position.
 
With the vision of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the ‘100-day Action Plan for Regional Offices’ was undertaken with the aim of bringing discipline to Government offices in the State, completing citizens’ work quickly and increasing trust between the Government and administration and citizens. The evaluation of the first phase of this campaign was announced on Friday. A list of 37 best offices in a total of 9 categories has been announced, including five offices in Nagpur Division. In the Best Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer category, the Chief Executive Officer of Nagpur Zilla Parishad has secured second place in the State by scoring 75.83 percent marks out of 100. A total of five winners have been selected in this category.In this category, the Nagpur Divisional Commissioner’s Office has secured second place by scoring 62.19 marks out of 100. A total of two winners have been selected in this category and the Nagpur Divisional Commissioner and Nashik Divisional Commissioner Dr Praveen Gedam have received equal marks and the second place award has been shared.
 
Chandrapur district has secured the first position in the Best District Collector category by scoring 68.29 out of 100. A total of five winners have been selected in this category. In the Best Superintendent of Police category, Nagpur and Gadchiroli Superintendent of Police offices have secured joint second scoring 80 out of 100. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis congratulated all the winning officers. He said, “I heartily congratulate all the departments for their impressive performance in this transformative and all-round development journey and wish them all the best for their future endeavours. The quality campaign is a beginning. It will be a model for the future administration of Maharashtra. This campaign has been launched to make life easier for the citizens.”
 
The Chief Minister has also appealed to all the officers to work towards providing better services to the citizens by transforming this campaign into a movement. The campaign was evaluated by the Quality Council of India. The evaluation was done based on ten criteria such as website performance, office facilities, grievance redressal system, investment friendliness, ease of service for citizens, and use of technology. All the 48 departments of the Government have started a 100-day policy agenda and started planning important new policies, far-reaching decisions and people-oriented initiatives. In the last 100 days, 706 (78%) of the 902 policy objectives set by all these departments have been fully achieved, while the remaining 196 objectives are yet to be completed by the concerned departments. The work will continue. Out of the total 48 departments, 12 departments have achieved 100% of their targets while another 18 departments have achieved more than 80% of their targets.
