Advocate of High Court of Chhattisgarh Anjinesh Anjay Shukla has been appointed as the State Vice-President of the State Muay Thai (Thai Martial Art) Association. This announcement was made during the ongoing 24th State-Level Muay Thai Championship, held at Dallirajhara, District Balod on May 2 and 3. The award distribution was held which was attended by the esteemed guests including Dr Varnika Sharma, Chairperson of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, and others. Following the programme, the Muay Thai Association’s President, Lakh Kumar Sahu, Secretary Anis Memon, and Aman Yadav announced Shukla’s appointment.
 
Shukla expressed gratitude to the association for the responsibility and emphasised on the importance of sports in physical and mental development. He stated that sports teach us to accept wins and losses equally and promote a sporting spirit in life. Sports also instill discipline and adherence to rules, which are essential life skills. Shukla highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, sports in India have gained recognition, and initiatives like Khelo India have promoted excellence in sports nationwide. He assured that with the support of the Chhattisgarh Government, every effort would be made to promote Muay Thai in the State.
