The responsibility now lies on your shoulders to further enhance this ideal by adopting a global perspective and a technology compatible with humanity,” said Dr Arti Sarin, Surgeon Vice Admiral of India and Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services. She was speaking at the 16th convocation ceremony of Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be university), Sawangi Meghe on Tuesday. Prominent among those present was Dr Preeti Adani, Chairman of Adani Foundation, and Datta Meghe, former MP and Chancellor of the University. Dr Preeti Adani said that the responsibility of the new generation is to shape the world. “The values that this university and your parents have instilled in you are the true guide for the future. Use your skills to make the world a better place. Helping those in need is our culture.

 

The world needs the knowledge, skills, compassion and commitment you have gained from this university to shape the future of others,” she said to the students. Dr Rajiv Borle and Dr Abhay Datarkar also expressed their views on the occasion. Meanwhile, the Chief Advisor of the university, Dr Vedprakash Mishra, conveyed his best wishes to the students through audio-visual media. At the function, Dr Preeti Adani, former Vice-Chancellor Dr Rajiv Borle and Dean of Government Dental College, Nagpur, Dr Abhay Datarkar were awarded honorary degrees of Doctor of Science.
