PLAYWELL, led by seasoned bridge players S Chhajjed, father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar, and Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev emerged champions in duplicate event organised by Vidarbha Bridge Association in their sports complex at Shankar Nagar. It was indeed a victory to cherish in 40 deals contest played across 5 rounds of 8 boards each, wherein their tally of 84.27 VP helped them secure top honours and winners purse. Playwell began their trail to the top spot with a confident 20 vs Orange City.

 

Thereafter, from second through to the fifth round, they scored 19.62 vs Friends, 10.86 vs Samadhan, 14.96 vs Black Tea and 18.83 vs Team Axis. Samadhan finished runners up with a tally of 74.54 VP. Their team consisted of S Patni, M Hararwala, D Mandpe, V Patki, S Khanzode and A Nandanwar. In MP pairs event, M Hasabnis and L Madne duo emerged champions in 20 deals contest. M Hararwala and A Sarode finished second.
