A BEAUTIFUL confluence of
sport and social service will be
witnessed on Wednesday at VCA
Stadium, Jamtha, when Pagariya
Strikers and National Cancer
Institute (NCI), Nagpur join
hands for cancer awareness during the VPTL.
During their match against
Neco Master Blasters, Pagariya
Strikers players will take to the
field wearing a specially designed
pink jersey — a jersey that will
be worn to honour cancer warriors and convey the message of
early detection. The income from
this match will be given in NCI’s
cancer awareness and patient
service programmes.
Under the leadership of Ujjwal
Pagariya, Ulhas Pagariya and
Umesh Pagariya, Pagariya
Strikers is playing a leading role
not only in sports but also in the
welfare of the society.
“This pink jersey initiative by
Pagariya Strikers shows that
through sports not only awareness can be raised but also new
energy can be brought in the
society,” said VPTL Chairman
and former Indian cricketer
Prashant Vaidya .
